Welcome the A Sordid Boon, a curated list of the best of the new mid-century modern movement. I am not sure that is a well-defined or even real movement – but there is definitely something going on out there. In contrast to the mass produced, fiber board and plastic, ugly junk out there (a sordid boon) – I hope to pull together the best of the mid-century inspired furniture from small and independent suppliers. Real people, making real furniture. Of course, we will profile pieces from major suppliers as well – perhaps vintage as well. Not sure yet. No knockoffs, as little China as possible (I like China just not the lack of respect for IP) and no Ikea.
